Summer Term - July 2017

I just wanted to write a quick blog as we have received our key stage two test results this week. As you are aware the children sit, in year six, formal tests for reading, maths and GPS (Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling).  The tests are challenging and demand that the children have excellent subject knowledge alongside secure concepts.

We are ecstatic with the results. Our children have outshone national and Hampshire averages across all areas. The results are outstanding:

We are so proud of children and their achievements. Our children make excellent progress and I passionately believe they receive a first class education because they deserve nothing less. As a school we have grown over the years and these results validate our journey.

Last week twenty-four Aspiring Head teachers visited our school from across Hampshire to watch best practice in action.  Our teaching was described as ‘inspiring’.

I hope you can take a moment to reflect and take pride in our achievements as a community. Look what we have achieved! Talavera is officially now a school of choice and leading the way forward in teaching and learning.

It is nothing but a pleasure to be the Head teacher of such an incredible school and community.
