Butser Farm

On 27th April, the Year 4s had an amazing day out at Butser Ancient Farm. On the trip the children learnt about many aspects of Roman life and through a guided tour of the site, children were able to compare and contrast how life had changed throughout the ages. Throughout the day, the children really got a feel of Roman life and had a hands on experience of many Roman skills including jewellery making and pottery creating. In addition to this, the children had the opportunity to understand how we find out about the past by becoming an archaeologist. It was an amazing but extremely tiring day.
