Marwell Zoo

Last Wednesday, year Five went on to Marwell Zoo to learn and see specific rainforest creatures. Our rainforest topic has had us discovering different biomes and the creatures that live there as well as learning about endangered animals. Despite the wet weather, year Five learnt many new and interesting facts about the different creatures that inhabit the rainforest. The Zoo staff led a workshop which involved the children being able to feel and identify real animal fur and skin, understand why the rainforest is an endangered habitat and stroke cockroaches and snakes! The trip was a great success and enjoyed by all.
