Skipping Event

Today we had the pleasure of having a trained skipping instructor, who is also a parent, come to school and teach our children a variety of different skipping skills. During the lunch break, the play leaders in year five were given a tutorial in a range of skipping activities which they can now enforce during playtime to teach to the other children. Throughout the afternoon saw each year group being taught a new skill set in a particular area of skipping such as individual skills, paired skipping and double Dutch. The children thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon session and learnt many new skills in the sunshine. The afternoon was rounded off by a presentation in assembly of some of the excelling skippers from across the school as well as a routine from Mrs Adolphe herself. As a school, it was a really fantastic afternoon and look forward to Mrs Adolphe visiting us again to teach us more skipping fun.
