Year 3 Nativity
On Friday 20th December (the last day of term), our fabulous year 3 children took part in their own spectacular performance of the nativity story at the Garrison church. Performing in front of the whole school and many of their parents/ family members, the children transported us to a TV studio where we were able to witness live the countdown for Christmas number 1! Through quirky and entertaining bands such as 'Gabriel's Soul Patrol', 'The Landlords', 'The Crooks', 'Donkey and the Animals', 'The Wise Guys' and 'Herod and the King's Swingers' the children reminded us of the true story of Christmas but with a unique edge! The year 3 staff were so proud of how well the children performed on the day and were amazed by how loudly they spoke and how well they memorised their lines in front of such a large audience! Many parents and staff members congratulated them on their performance stating that 'it added a touch of real Christmas magic to the end of term!' We would also like to thank the parents/ carers for all their support in helping the children to memorise their lines, practise their songs and help to prepare costumes. Your presence in the church was also hugely appreciated and we particularly loved how willing you were to sing, dance and clap along to our final song! We hope that you had a wonderful Christmas and look forward to welcoming the children again in the new year!
