Talavera Junior School is a three form school nestled in the heart of Aldershot. We are judged as a Good school by Ofsted, but we are rapidly moving forward on our journey to outstanding.

We are looking for a teacher to start work in September 2018, on a 1 year fixed term contract. This post is suitable for a NQT.

Job/Person Summary

Do you want to make a real difference?

We are looking for a special needs assistant to cover maternity leave to work in year 4 for 25 hours a week. You will be working 1:1 to support a child in the classroom with their learning and managing their behaviour. You may also be asked to work with other learners in the classroom or to deliver interventions.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working in key stage 2 and managing children with additional needs, including social and emotional difficulties and be able to use their own initiative and be proactive in the classroom.

You must have high expectations of all children, be a good communicator and team player, as well as having a firm, friendly and consistent approach.

You will be supporting learning across the curriculum and will be working in a unique and vibrant learning environment.
