Chinese New Year
On Tuesday 1st February the Talavera children celebrated Chinese New Year and welcomed the year of the Tiger with a special friend from China, a real Chinese dancing dragon! We have learnt about Chinese New Year decorations and traditions, read Chinese characters and said Xin Nian Kuai Le ( Happy New Year in Chinese) to everyone in the school. We even had a chance to dance the dragon ourselves!
Do you know why the Chinese people decorate their houses with a lot of red? If you don't know, a Talavera child will be able to tell you! Xin Nian Kuai Le everyone and wish you all a happy and prosperous year of the Tiger!
