Healthy Eating Week

Today we celebrated our students of the week in our Celebration Assembly. There was a slight difference to normal though - our pupils were applauded for their enthusiasm and passion for our Healthy Eating Week.

It all kicked off on Monday with our Big Workout, showing children the importance of physical exercise. 


Then, throughout the week, the children have been learning about the origins of our food and how to identify if food is the right choice, using the traffic light system on packaging. 


The children all discussed how food choices can affect their physical, mental and dental health.


Finally, they practised their table manners, using a proper knife and fork to develop the life skill of eating well.


A huge congratulations to our students of the week for being role models of healthy eating for the rest of our school!
